Cha-am Wednesday Night Market
This weekly outdoor market runs every Wednesday evening in Cha-am and draws a genuine mix of locals and visitors browsing a broad range of stalls. Vendors sell freshly cooked Thai street food, snacks, tropical fruits, vegetables, clothing, souvenirs, and everyday household goods — the kind of selection that reflects real local commerce rather than a tourist-facing retail experience. The atmosphere is lively and packed, particularly as the evening progresses. Food is a clear highlight. Visitors consistently point to the variety and low prices, with grilled meats, noodle dishes, fresh produce, and snacks all well represented. Arriving hungry is advised. Compared to the nearby Pae Mai Tuesday Market, this one skips the live music and permanent seating areas, so the draw here is primarily the vendors and the food rather than a curated night-out setting. Good to know: The market runs on Wednesdays only, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM — plan a Cha-am visit specifically around this window if it appeals. Arriving earlier in the evening generally means more stall variety before popular items sell out, while later hours bring a more energetic crowd. Wear comfortable shoes and light clothing suitable for warm conditions, and bring cash as street market vendors rarely accept card payments.

We love coming here – it’s a real taste of local life and always worth a visit if you're in the area.
First time visiting this night market and it was packed. They have many stalls selling food, clothes and souvenirs. The prices were reasonable and the food I chose was good. They had everything there like racks of ribs, curries, fried stuff, desserts and lots more. Highly recommended
If you're in Cha Am, you absolutely have to visit this market. Wonderful. You'll have to come hungry.

Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
