ตลาดเทศบาล 2 เชียงราย
Also known as Sirikorn Market, this municipal market sits in the heart of Chiang Rai city, close to the bus station, making it a convenient stop for both locals and travellers passing through the region. It is considered the main flower market in Chiang Rai Province, with vendors offering a wide variety of blooms at reasonable prices alongside fresh fruits sourced from the surrounding highland areas. Beyond flowers and produce, the market carries a broad selection of fresh and prepared foods, giving visitors a practical snapshot of everyday local life in Chiang Rai. The atmosphere is functional rather than touristy, and the market is noted by visitors for being clean and well-maintained. Two entrances provide easy access, and the overall layout is straightforward to navigate. The market operates seven days a week, though hours vary slightly across the week — weekdays such as Tuesday and Friday open earlier at 08:00 and close at 18:00, while other days run from 09:00 to 17:30. Paid parking is available on-site at a cost of 5 to 10 baht per person, making it accessible for those arriving by vehicle. Arriving in the morning on a weekday offers the widest selection of fresh produce and flowers before stock begins to thin out later in the day.

Visitor Reviews
The main market selling a wide variety of flowers in Chiang Rai Province, as well as fruits from the surrounding area. Also known as Sirikorn Market
Fresh, clean flowers, reasonable prices, and a cool, lovely, and attentive seller.
Located in the heart of the city, near the bus station, the market has two entrances and ample parking (5-10 baht per person). It offers a wide variety of fresh and prepared foods, including more fresh flower stalls than other markets I've visited. There are also many stalls selling very inexpensive cooked food (open from approximately 7:00 AM onwards).

Tips for Visiting Markets & Shopping
Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
