Hua Ro market
Hua Ro Market is a long-established local market in the heart of Ayutthaya, occupying a covered complex of shops and stalls beneath high glass-panelled roofs — a layout one visitor describes as a cross between a market and a mall. Open every day from 4:00 AM to 6:00 PM, it draws a mix of residents and curious travellers looking for an unfiltered slice of daily Thai commerce. The market has a storied place in Ayutthaya's community life and, while somewhat quieter than its peak years, remains a go-to destination for household goods, fresh produce, clothing, and prepared food. The atmosphere is practical and unhurried rather than tourist-facing, with two-wheeler traffic moving through the covered lanes and vendors catering primarily to locals. Food is a highlight — fresh fruit smoothies are a particular draw, with stalls offering dozens of varieties made to order. The covered structure provides welcome shade and keeps the space noticeably cooler than open-air markets, making browsing more comfortable in Ayutthaya's heat. Arriving early, between 5:00 and 7:00 AM, gives the best access to fresh produce and breakfast options before stalls sell out. Bring small bills, as change can be limited at individual vendors. The market's central location on Thanon Uthong, close to Ayutthaya's historic island, makes it easy to combine with a morning visit to nearby temples and ruins.

Visitor Reviews
I was walking the city and stumbled on this Market little quaint Market here in the city. A lot of various offerings everyone wasn't open yet upon my arrival but they were people setting up so that means this place gets really busy later in the afternoon!
It used to be the most busiest place in the province. Espanol it is a bit less busy but I always go there if I need anything for the house. Especially it has more than 10 massage parlors.😀
Simple outdoor street market for food and goodies. Best smoothies in Thailand, visit Fateema Coffee and Fruit (40+ varieties) all fresh, made right there in front of you.

Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
