Visitor Reviews

Short: Paradise on Earth. Longer: This is not just a National Park or Campsite, but a combination of what the generous nature and hard work result in. It is also rare to see the devoted human, and not only byrocratic approach that I see here. When I look the reviews and nationalities/age of reviewers, I think that the score of 4,7 is high. I have seen, and reviewed a couple of Thai campsites owned by state, but you cannot compare any of them with this one. You feel here a "secret hand" of human mind behind. You also feel that all is on low budget, but still the staff is very kind, and all faucets, lamps etc are working. Cleaning of asphalt road with broom was one of big surprises. Every corner is clean. Garbage bins and garbage separation. No vendors allowed. No food sales. Almost no freelance dogs. Not many campsitrs have beach showers, and here are four, ad simple as they are, but all 4 working! I am impressed by how this huge area is well maimtained, so that reviews like trash on the beach (which is the fact) are malplaced and missleading, since it has nothing to do with campsites own maintemance! if you only see the endless beach you understand, that the polution of the seas has its impact here as well. Yesterday, I spoke to the Manager (well speaking English and a very kind person), and heard that they, every now and then, do beach trash pick up, engaging school children for such huge job. it is many, many kilometers! Instead of pointing out a missleading comment about trash, i will instead, donate a lump sum to the National Park to buy soft drinks for those helping childten and staff of National Park guiding them. i see that as more usefull and correct then giving 4 instead of 5 stars. Being impressed by nature and human cooperation i saw here, I will use my entire holiday time here and stay over 2 weeks and come again early next year with my family. I hope that responsible people that obviously do the job very well, will double down on promoting this place so that more and more people come to see this paradize. This is a great place with great future potential and must be supported and made well known!

One of the greatest beaches i have visited in Thailand so far. Recommended to drive all the way to the end of the beach, after you went through the gate. There are also basic facilities with changing rooms, toilets and a small shop for drinks available. The beach is endlessly long and completely empty (I was there on a saturday). Fantastic soft sand, crystal clear water and shade available from old trees. Perfect for kids or babies to travel to due to its quietness. Waves were a bit high on that day for kids to swim. For adults possible and refreshing. Plenty of parking available and multiple different spots to reach the beach along the way.

A wonderful National Park, peaceful, tranquil, superbly managed and clean throughout. There are many places to enjoy the long stretch of pristine beach and go for a refreshing swim, or quietly contemplate whatever is on one's mind. Shower and toilet facilities are available in the area. Also, remnants of the old tin dredging facilities offer the opportunity to appreciate the past. As a bonus, the National Park has bungalows for rent and provides camping ground facilities - what more do you want.

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours

Vet Elephant Sanctuaries

Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.

Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide

These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.

Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning

Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
