Bali Hai Pier
Bali Hai Pier serves as the principal departure point for boat services from Pattaya's southern seafront to Koh Larn (Coral Island) and other nearby islands. The pier operates as a working marine facility with multiple ticket counters and tour operators on-site, handling a steady volume of traffic throughout the day. Both public ferries and private speedboats depart regularly from morning through evening, making it the practical starting point for island day trips from Pattaya. Visitors have two main options for reaching Koh Larn. The public ferry costs around 30 baht per person and takes approximately 45 minutes, arriving directly at Tawaen Beach. Speedboats offer a faster crossing at a higher price but dock on the east side of the island, requiring an additional tuk-tuk ride to reach the main beaches. Yachts and chartered vessels are also available for trips to other islands, with pricing varying by destination and vessel type. The pier can be busy during peak periods, though departures are frequent and the boarding process is generally well-organised. Travellers should aim to arrive 15 to 30 minutes before their intended departure, particularly between November and February when services fill more quickly. Tickets for the public ferry can be purchased at the pier without advance booking, while speedboat charters and organised tours can be arranged on-site or booked ahead.

Visitor Reviews
The Bali Hai Pier is where you can find ferries and speedboats to reach the Coral Islands. Ferries are the most affordable option, costing 30 baht and taking around 45 minutes to reach the island. We can also take speedboats. To avoid crowds and enjoy the beaches, it's best to arrive early in the morning.
Bali Hai Pier is a Harbour where all the Yatch, ferris and speed boats are available to go to other islands. Prices are different for each island. I have uploaded the Rate cards in the photo section. Must visit all the islands. Place is very clean. You can book all kind of the activities from here too.
Good starting point for trips to Koh Larn. The pier is easy to find and well-organized, with clear ticket counters and frequent boat departures. It can be busy, but everything moves fast. Beautiful sea view while waiting!

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
