The Ritz Carlton Spa Village
Nestled within the Ritz-Carlton resort on Koh Samui, the Spa Village is a dedicated wellness sanctuary that draws on traditional Thai healing practices and delivers them within an atmosphere of quiet, unhurried luxury. The facility goes well beyond standard hotel spa offerings, functioning as a destination in its own right for both resort guests and those seeking a meaningful wellness experience on the island. Visitors can expect an extensive menu of treatments, including couples massages, individual massage sessions, and facial treatments, all delivered by skilled therapists praised for their attentiveness and technique. The spa also offers yoga sessions led by instructors with strong English proficiency, making classes accessible to beginners and experienced practitioners alike. The atmosphere throughout is calm and immersive, with facilities and hospitality that reflect the broader Ritz-Carlton standard of personalised service. For those staying at the resort, booking spa appointments early in the stay is advisable, as the quality of the experience often prompts repeat visits. Guests who have returned multiple times during a single stay report no drop in standards across treatments. While pricing and opening hours are not listed publicly, contacting the resort directly before arrival is the most reliable way to confirm availability and secure preferred time slots, particularly for couples treatments or private yoga sessions.

Visitor Reviews
From the moment you enter The Ritz-Carlton Spa Village in Koh Samui, a deep sense of calm takes over. This is more than a luxury spa, it’s a peaceful sanctuary where traditional Thai healing and refined wellness blend effortlessly. The atmosphere is elegantly beautiful, surrounded by lush greenery, gentle water sounds, and thoughtfully designed spaces that instantly ease the mind and body. We loved the relaxing pool area. Simple yet meaningful welcome rituals, herbal foot baths, body scrubs and serene relaxation areas set the tone for true escape. What truly makes this spa special is its exceptional team. A huge thanks to the entire spa staff and therapists for their genuine warmth, intuitive care, and ability to personalise every treatment. From start to finish, the experience feels sincere, unhurried, and deeply human. The signature treatments especially the Thai Fusion and coconut-based therapies are restorative journeys rather than massages. The Ritz Carlton Spa Village is like heaven and absolutely unforgettable, and will totally have you wanting more than one treatment during your stay. I Comfortably Recommend :)
Excellent spa! Had my own yoga session. The instructor had excellent command of English. I'm still a beginner and she was easy to follow. It was very relaxing and an excellent workout. I stretched and used muscles I didn't know I had. The hour long yoga session was exactly what I needed after two weeks of traveling. The spa's locker room is top notch. Use of its private pool is included (the pool is only available to spa users). It is a very luxurious facility. My partner opted for a scrub and massage. He said it was one of the best, if not the best, treatments he has had. And he has been to many excellent spas around the world. Top notch service and pampering.
If you only do one thing at the Ritz, book a visit to the spa. As someone who might have a slight massage addiction, the Ritz Carlton Samui was probably one of the best feel good massage experiences I've had. When 2 hours was up I was in heaven. Looked over at the missus, and I think I caught a glimpse of her wiping some drool off. The staff is impeccable. They want to know your pressure preferences and any areas to focus on. Everything I requested was remembered and executed flawlessly. It's not cheap, but the value is well worth it.

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
