Mangrove Forest Park
Part of the Sirinthorn International Environmental Park in Cha-am, this free-entry nature reserve offers visitors an immersive walk through a thriving mangrove ecosystem. Elevated boardwalks wind through the heart of the mangrove swamp, crossing several rope-supported bridges and leading to a 15-metre lookout tower with views across the canopy. The park is home to an impressive array of wildlife, including mudskippers, crabs, fish, and a variety of bird species, making it a rewarding stop for nature lovers and wildlife photographers alike. The atmosphere is peaceful and largely uncrowded, offering a genuine escape from busier tourist areas along the Gulf Coast. Alongside the mangrove trail, the park also features a beach and a bike trail, giving visitors multiple ways to spend time outdoors. Signage and the layout of the facility reflect a clear conservation and education focus, and the well-maintained infrastructure — boardwalks, shelters, and viewing structures — is noted to be in good condition. Entry is free of charge, and the park is open every day from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Morning visits are recommended to make the most of cooler temperatures and more active wildlife. Visitors should wear comfortable walking shoes and bring insect repellent and sun protection, as the trail is largely exposed to tropical conditions. Getting here is easiest with a private vehicle or rental, as public transport options to the site are limited. The official website at sirindhornpark.or.th is worth checking before visiting for any updates on seasonal activities or facilities.

Visitor Reviews
Free entry mangrove forest trail. I think they used to have activities you can do but that might be seasonal or no longer available since I didn't see anything on my visit (February 2026). Nice if you want to just be in nature a little bit. It's very quiet and there's a pine forest beach here too if you want to avoid the tourist packed beaches. Mangroves are great at filtration so the water is VERY clear. You can observe all the little fries and crabs and snails in the water. They have a tall tower you can go up for a better view (not for people who are afraid of height. It is very tall up. 14-ish meters). The wind up there was amazing. It's designed with seats built in too so you can stay up there a while. I wouldn't recommend coming here in the evening since there is no light AND you'd be eaten alive by mosquitoes.
A lovely free facility for those who enjoy nature. The boardwalks take you through the centre of the mangroves swamp and across several rope supported bridges. Do climb the 15 meter high lookout tower, it gives you great views and allows you to appreciate the size of the park. Despite being a Sunday morning there was hardly anyone there.
Absolutely loved the one hour we spent walking through the mangroves. Wildlife was just fascinating. Spotted plenty of birds, fish, the mudskippers and the crabs. All the more reason to visit is that there is no entrance fee. A must see in Hua Hin for sure. There is also a quiet beach just through the trees.

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
