Enjoy Thai Cooking - Krabi School
Nestled in Tambon Sai Thai on the outskirts of Krabi town, Enjoy Thai Cooking is a cooking school where visitors learn to prepare authentic Thai dishes under the guidance of experienced local instructors. The school places a strong emphasis on genuine culinary education, walking students through the flavours, techniques, and ingredients that define Thai cuisine rather than simply following a recipe. Classes are structured to give participants real hands-on experience. Students typically choose from a selection of dishes — up to six per session — and receive a detailed introduction to each ingredient before cooking their own meal. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, and the school has hosted both small groups and private lessons, meaning attention from instructors is attentive and personal. A recipe booklet is provided at the end of each class, giving visitors something tangible to take home. Pickup and drop-off from local accommodation is also offered, making logistics straightforward for those without their own transport. For those interested in Thai food culture rather than just sightseeing, this school offers a practical and engaging way to connect with local cuisine. Visitors are encouraged to book in advance, particularly those hoping for a private session, as class sizes can be small. Given that opening hours are not publicly listed, reaching out directly to confirm scheduling before arrival is advisable.

Visitor Reviews
Absolutely amazing experience. We have learnt a lot about Thai cuisine, the dishes were delicious. At the end you also get a cook book. Really nive atmosphere. Highly recommended.
We had the best time learning from Tony and Tu. The instructions were clear, the atmosphere was amazingly friendly (we were the only ones so we had a private lesson!), and the food was delicious. We were picked up at the pier by Tony (we were staying at Railay beach) straight to the cooking class at their lovely back yard. Each one of us chose 5 dishes, and all ingredients (most vegetables are home grown!) were pre washed and waiting for us at the table. Tony explained what is each ingredient, let us taste the ones we weren’t familiar with, and then explained their cutting technique. Then we cooked each dish and ate our masterpieces :) We learnt a lot from this class and will definitely try many of the dishes at home! Don’t hesitate and go there for a wonderful day of cooking.
Had a lovely morning learning about Thai cooking and making some delicious dishes with Tu, the chef and teacher. She showed and shared some useful information about the Thai kitchen and it’s ingredients, and I had the change to choose 5 dishes that we prepared together. It was deliciously fun, and not too much work, perfect for a vacation cooking school. The class also included transports, and all the recipes for what we made. Tu has good English, so communication is easy. Very fun addition to your Krabi vacation
Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
