The Soul Resort

4.6(221 reviews)

Tucked away in Tambon Song Khon within Saraburi Province, The Soul Resort operates as a boutique hotel and wellness retreat that consistently earns praise for its peaceful atmosphere, tasteful décor, and generous amenities. Set amid beautiful natural surroundings, the property offers spacious, well-appointed rooms alongside gardens and views that guests describe as exceeding expectations from photographs alone. It appeals to relaxation-focused travellers, health-conscious visitors, and those who appreciate nature without sacrificing comfort. Guests can expect a quiet, luxurious environment where the emphasis is firmly on rest and restoration. The resort offers activities, though reviewers note these feel unhurried and optional rather than scheduled or structured, keeping the overall tone calm and undemanding. Breakfast receives particular mention for its quality, and staff are consistently noted for their warmth and attentiveness. The combination of stylish interiors, expansive gardens, and a serene setting makes it well suited to multi-night stays rather than quick day visits. Good to know: The Soul Resort sits in Saraburi Province, roughly accessible from Bangkok by road, and its location makes it a practical stopover between cities as well as a standalone retreat destination. Given the intimate nature of the property and its growing reputation, booking in advance is advisable, particularly during the cooler high season between November and February when travel across central Thailand peaks. A stay of at least two nights is recommended to fully settle into the pace the resort is designed to encourage.

We just have had a 3 night stay at the Soul. The Hotel is very stylisch and with a lot of taste decorated. Our room was perfect in Pristine 1 highfloor. The gardens and the spectaculair view is overwhelming. A real 5 star feeling. First day and very early next morning, very irritating non stop loud prayning and music from a kind of Very large group of members of a kind of mindfulness boedhist white dresses believers. Not very pleasant to wake up at 5 in the morning with their boring indoctrinated prayers. Happy when they all checkout and left . Breakfast buffet only 1 time was perfect. Others days was a la cart, could be better. Quality of food restaurant could also better. Specially the quality of the chicken dishes. Salads and pastas were fine. Swimminpool and spa and Petra poolbar is fantastic real 5 stars. All staff houskeeping restaurant reception Top . Very welcoming and friendly. Mrs Chali manager frontdesk was great, she deserves 7 stars. She was a very open nice personality with a perfect english speaking great feeing for humor. She dod everything she could to make our stay more than wonderful. One minus : big construction noise every day just behind the meditation spot outside the grounds of the hotel. Mostly from 9 to 15 . That is not very wellness and mindfull to hear that horrible noise. Will I come back , Yes definatly, but only when there are no Sekte groeps and no construction noise Igo van Hoof Stefan van Loock Belgium

My partner and I arrived at Soul Resort Kaeng Khoi yesterday evening and it has already been one of the most peaceful and memorable places we have experienced in Thailand. From the moment we arrived we could feel that this place is something special. The setting is beautiful — surrounded by nature, quiet, and thoughtfully designed to help you slow down and reconnect. The whole resort feels more like a retreat than a typical hotel. The staff have been absolutely wonderful. On arrival we were personally walked to our room by a lovely young woman who spoke excellent English and made us feel immediately welcome. Every member of the team we have met so far has been warm, professional and genuinely caring. After a very full few days travelling we have mostly just been relaxing here and enjoying the peaceful environment, which is exactly what this place encourages you to do. The calm atmosphere and natural surroundings make it incredibly easy to switch off and unwind. A special thank you as well to the team in the dining area — the service and attention to detail has been excellent. We travelled here from the Gold Coast in Australia and feel very fortunate to have discovered this place. It is also surprisingly close to Bangkok, making it a wonderful retreat from the city. This is the kind of place international travellers hope to find when they visit Thailand.

I spent a magical weekend here and hope to return someday. The place is more beautiful than the photos, and the amenities are charming and generous. The resort offers "activities" but these are not typical - how about a visit to Buddhist shrines deep in caves inside the mountains? Or morning yoga listening to birdsong? The food was not 5-star gourmet, I'm afraid, but still wonderful. The flower fields between the resort and the mountains are so gorgeous that people lie about on shaded cabanas, just looking at them. If you have the chance to go here, don't hesitate. It was a highlight of my month in Thailand.

Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas

Learn Wat Pho First

Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.

Communicate Pressure Preferences

Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.

Book Longer Sessions

A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
