Walking Street Soi Bintabaht

4.0(648 reviews)

Soi Bintabaht is Hua Hin's compact walking street, offering a relaxed mix of bars, food stalls, live music, and massage parlours in the heart of this laid-back coastal town. Compared to the more intense walking streets of Pattaya, Phuket, or Bangkok, this strip has a noticeably quieter, more casual character — making it a good fit for travellers who want a social evening out without the overwhelming crowds or noise of Thailand's larger nightlife destinations. Visitors can expect a straightforward, easygoing atmosphere where it's perfectly reasonable to grab a drink, find a seat, and watch the street come to life around you. Food and beverage options are available along the strip, and live music adds to the ambience at certain venues. Note that some visitors have found prices on the higher side relative to what's on offer, so it's worth comparing options before settling in — nearby cafes, restaurants, and bars in the surrounding area provide solid alternatives. The street is notably quieter during the afternoon and picks up considerably in the evening, so arriving after dark gives a much better sense of the atmosphere. Weeknights tend to be calmer than weekends. Given the casual, open-air nature of the street, comfortable footwear and light clothing are all that's needed.

Visitor Reviews

Fun place! I’ve been to walking streets in Phuket, Pattaya, and Bangkok. This is much smaller and much more chill in comparison (we went on a Monday night, however), which is my preference. Stopped at a couple places for drinks and to people watch. Worth checking out when in Hua Hin!

Classic walking street with bars, music (some live) massage and food. Very enjoyable to get a drink and watch the world go by. Lots of fun. Also close to numerous cafes, restaurants and bars in that neighborhood. Definitely worth a visit.

Food, bars, live music and lots of massage parlours. It was pretty quiet when we walked through it in the afternoon, it really livenes up in the evening.

Tips for Visiting Temples & Culture

Dress Modestly

Cover shoulders and knees at all temples. Carry a light scarf or sarong — some temples lend wraps, but not all. Shoes come off before entering any building with a Buddha image.

Mind Your Feet

Never point your feet at a Buddha image or a monk — it's considered deeply disrespectful. When sitting inside a temple, tuck your feet behind you or to the side.

Ask Before Photographing

Exterior photos are almost always fine, but some interior halls prohibit photography. Look for signs, and never pose irreverently with Buddha images — it's a legal offense in Thailand.
