The Florist Ayutthaya

5.0(22 reviews)

Tucked into the historic centre of Ayutthaya, The Florist offers travellers a comfortable and characterful base for exploring one of Thailand's most significant ancient cities. The property features traditional Thai-style wooden rooms that are well-maintained and thoughtfully presented, striking a balance between local charm and everyday comfort. Its central location puts guests within easy reach of the city's famous temple ruins and a nearby night market, making it a practical choice for those looking to make the most of their time in the area. The atmosphere here leans warm and personal. Owners and staff are consistently noted for their friendliness and willingness to offer local advice, and the occasional complimentary snack adds a hospitable touch that larger properties rarely provide. Rooms are described as quiet and comfortable despite the central setting, which suits travellers who want easy access to Ayutthaya's sights without sacrificing a good night's sleep. Good to know: The Florist appears to operate more as a guesthouse or small hotel than a conventional shopping destination, so travellers searching for retail or market experiences may want to verify current offerings before visiting. Opening hours are not listed publicly, so reaching out via the Facebook page before arrival is recommended, particularly for booking rooms or confirming availability during peak tourist seasons around Ayutthaya's heritage sites.

Visitor Reviews

A lovely, cozy hotel at affordable prices. The staff are friendly, smiling, and helpful, always ready to assist and offer advice. The owner is cool and easy to talk to. Not far away, 5 minutes away, there is a market where you can get local street food. Also, try a delicious fruit smoothie at Dino Smoothies shop. My room was comfortable on the second floor with a bathroom, a spacious wardrobe, a large bed, and a spacious balcony. The view overlooks the temples. The breakfast is just as delicious. You can grab a bite to eat downstairs at any time, but I preferred to spend time on the shared balcony, where you can sit with friends, relax, and enjoy the views. The sunsets here are beautiful. I recommend this place and will be back!

Such a great location as the hotel is very close to tourist attractions. The staffs are very friendly and good service. The rooms are made of wood in a Thai style, which is charming and cleaned. I liked the breakfast; the rice, pastries, and fruits. The facilities might not be perfect, but they were okay. Reasonable prices, I really like it. I would come back here again for sure! Finally, I would recommended you to stay here whenever you come to visit some interesting places in Ayutthaya Province.

This hotel is in the perfect location, you can easily get to the temples and there is a night market right round the corner (recommend Dino’s smoothies!). The staff are super helpful and the rooms are authentic and have the basic things you need. The breakfast is also delicious.

Tips for Visiting Markets & Shopping

Haggle at Markets, Not Malls

Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.

Arrive Early or Late

Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.

Be Cautious with Tailors

Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
