Hua Beach

4.3(535 reviews)

Tucked beneath a jungle-covered cape on Phuket's west coast, Hua Beach is a small, sheltered stretch of coastline roughly 170 metres long in the Kamala area. It draws visitors looking for a calm, uncrowded alternative to Phuket's more commercialised beaches, offering a noticeably peaceful atmosphere with a modest beach bar as its primary facility. The natural setting, with dense greenery framing the shoreline, gives the beach a secluded character that sets it apart from the island's busier coastal spots. Visitors can expect shallow, calm waters extending a considerable distance from shore, though the seabed consists of stone and coral rather than sand, which is worth knowing before wading in. The beach sits in shade through the morning hours, making early visits particularly comfortable. The surrounding Kamala area offers restaurants, shops, and accommodation at a range of price points for those looking to extend their stay. Good to know: The path to the beach involves some walking and may not be suitable for young children or elderly travellers with limited mobility. The beach has minimal facilities, so bringing your own food, water, and snacks is advisable. The dry season running from November to February offers the most reliable weather and calm seas. As with all Phuket beaches, strong sun protection including sunscreen and a hat is essential regardless of season.

One of the best enduro experiences I’ve had so far. I did a completely private training and tour with him. At the beginning I had a few minor difficulties, including a small accident, but he stayed calm and very patient the whole time and never put any pressure on me. After about 30 minutes of practice in a training area, I started to really understand the bike, and then we began the tour. The ride itself was outstanding. He is a very skilled rider and chose challenging but achievable routes: rocky, steep, rough sections with deep ruts where I honestly wasn’t sure it would work – but it did. The weather, nature, and views were incredible. Toward the end, we rode to a waterfall and had dinner together, which was included and tasted great. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience. I can highly recommend him to anyone looking for proper enduro training or guided riding. A very good rider, a great teacher, and a genuinely good person.

The beach is clean and not crowded.there is a small beach bar .if you are looking for a quite place far away from the crowded beaches this is the spot . bring your food and fruits, water if you don't want to spend extra on food. The day we arrived it was a bit windy but it was in patong too so i don't this it's a common thing . There are sunbeds u can rent for 300 baht ,but there are many trees so i dont think u need any. Its a fantastic place to relax ,read your book without noise. If u come to phuket its a must. Taxi drivers may don't know the exact spot and leave u to the road but its a 5 minute walk , nothing to worry about. For cheaper ubers or taxi leave early from your hotel to the beach . After 10 pm they carge you 50% because it’s a peak time with high demand.

Beautiful!! A little walk definitelly for small kids or elderly.

Tips for Visiting Beaches & Islands

Check Monsoon Seasons

The Andaman coast (Phuket, Krabi) has rough seas from May to October. The Gulf coast (Koh Samui, Koh Phangan) is roughest from October to December. Plan your island-hopping around these windows.

Snorkel Gear Is Cheap to Buy

Rental gear is often scratched and ill-fitting. Buy a decent mask and snorkel at a Tesco Lotus or Big C for 300–500 THB — cheaper than two days of rentals and much more hygienic.

Book Ferries on 12Go.Asia

The 12Go platform lets you compare ferry operators, times, and prices between islands. Book a day or two ahead in high season. Avoid the cheapest operators if reviews mention safety concerns.
