Banana Beach (Koh Hey)
Banana Beach sits on Koh Hey, a small island a short boat ride from Phuket's Rawai area, and takes its name from the gentle curve of its shoreline. The water is notably clear, with a coral reef just offshore that makes it a natural fit for snorkelling and kayaking. Despite its secluded setting, the beach is well set up for a full day out, with sunbed rentals, a restaurant serving food that visitors consistently praise, and music that gives the place an upbeat, social atmosphere without tipping into full resort territory. Activities on offer include swimming, snorkelling, kayaking, and beach walking, covering most bases for a day trip without the need for jet skis or motorised water sports. The beach is kept clean and the staff are noted for being attentive and welcoming. Premium sunbeds are available to rent for those who want a more comfortable setup. The beach is open daily from 08:00 to 17:00, so it works best as a morning-to-afternoon day trip rather than a late outing. A ferry fee applies to reach the island, so factor that into the budget. During peak periods such as Christmas and New Year, it draws larger crowds, so arriving early helps secure a good spot. More details on access and facilities are available at the official website.

Visitor Reviews
Very beautiful and very nice beach. They called it banana beach because of its shape like banana. You can enjoy there the swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, and walking on the white sand beaches. The company is well organized and well arranged for everything. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. They care about customers and their most important is the safety and quality. I really enjoyed the trip with my family. Highly recommended for whom are looking for relaxation and some beach and sea activities.
It is a beautiful place.. not far from Phuket.. But in this period Christmas it was full of people.. but still able to find a nice spot and had really good food at the restaurant.. You have to pay a fee to get to the island but you will get coupons that is the same value of what you pay.. and can be used for everything..
Amazing place to spend a day! MJ at the Banana Beach was fantastic, super welcoming and helpful. We rented the premium sunbeds and it was incredible. I surely recomend a visit, MJ will surely take care of you!

Tips for Visiting Beaches & Islands
Check Monsoon Seasons
The Andaman coast (Phuket, Krabi) has rough seas from May to October. The Gulf coast (Koh Samui, Koh Phangan) is roughest from October to December. Plan your island-hopping around these windows.
Snorkel Gear Is Cheap to Buy
Rental gear is often scratched and ill-fitting. Buy a decent mask and snorkel at a Tesco Lotus or Big C for 300–500 THB — cheaper than two days of rentals and much more hygienic.
Book Ferries on 12Go.Asia
The 12Go platform lets you compare ferry operators, times, and prices between islands. Book a day or two ahead in high season. Avoid the cheapest operators if reviews mention safety concerns.
