Trine Jungle House
Perched above Ao Nang in Krabi, Trine Jungle House is a hilltop viewpoint and rest stop that rewards visitors with panoramic views of the surrounding bay and jungle landscape. The climb to reach it is a genuine workout, particularly in the heat of the day, but visitors consistently find the effort worthwhile once the views open up. It functions as both a scenic observation point and a simple refreshment stop, making it a natural place to pause and take in the surroundings. On arrival, visitors can expect a relaxed, open-air atmosphere with food and non-alcoholic drinks available at reasonable prices. Fresh coconuts are a popular choice after the hike, and light food is served on site. The venue is quieter than some of the more heavily trafficked viewpoints in the region, which adds to its appeal for those looking for a more low-key experience. A small entry fee of 30 baht is charged to access the viewpoint. The late afternoon is a particularly good time to visit, as the spot offers solid views for watching the sunset over the bay. Visitors are advised to bring their own water for the climb and to wear comfortable footwear suited to a moderately steep jungle trail. Given the heat and humidity typical of Krabi, starting the hike in the cooler morning hours or in the late afternoon is a practical choice.

Visitor Reviews
A great place to view the sunset, If you are looking for a to the top of for an expensive view of the bay it is worth the trek. Before this place was free of charge, it seems lately they are charging people to come up here. If you are one who prefers steps then take the popular way winding your self through a series of concrete steps, which is a shorter path. For those who are looking for l less crowded route go through the back road, it passes by some local housing and basically you walk along the road until there are some wooden signs directing you to an unpaved path. This is the way I prefer but you will need a light otherwise once the sun goes down there is a possibility of getting lost. Once on the observation deck there are some seating available if you get there early, and the store has some refreshments to cool down with.
This was the highlight of my stay on Phi Phi island. It is a must vist. The climb is tough in the hot weather but worth every bead of sweat. There are non alcholic drinks and food served at rock bottom prices and the Paid Thai dish was delicious. The view is otherworldly and the staff are brilliant.
Very good hike to get there. Amazing views . No alcohol served but they have fresh coconuts which are good alternative :)

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
