DPM Diving Koh Phi Phi
Based on Koh Phi Phi island in Krabi province, this SSI-affiliated scuba diving centre caters to the full spectrum of divers, from complete beginners taking their first plunge to experienced underwater explorers pursuing advanced certifications. The operation runs a broad range of programmes including introductory dives, advanced open water courses, night dives, wreck dives, and rescue and stress courses. Instructors are frequently mentioned by name in visitor feedback — among them Alice, Alfredo, Jordi, Raul, and Tuli — praised consistently for their professionalism, patience, and ability to adapt to each diver's pace and comfort level. Visitors can expect a well-organised experience from initial enquiry through to the water. Pre-dive communication is clear, equipment is well-maintained, and guides bring strong familiarity with the local marine environment around the Phi Phi archipelago. The centre also stocks and sells diving and sporting equipment, making it a practical stop for gear purchases alongside guided experiences. Good to know: The centre opens seven days a week from 9:30 AM to 8:00 PM, offering good flexibility when planning around other island activities. Peak diving season runs from November through April, when visibility is at its clearest and demand is highest — advance booking is strongly recommended during this period. Most course and multi-dive programmes are full-day commitments, so allow time for briefings and the mandatory surface intervals between dives.

Visitor Reviews
Took a leap of faith and tried an SSI Agency for the first time and DPM Phi Phi did not disappoint! “React Right” and “Diver Stress and Rescue” courses: We took this course that was led by Alice with Tuly and Martina assisting, and it was a great experience being taught by them! Alice was professional but also shared many useful anecdotes and ways to conceptualise the various parts of the courses. Alice provided feedback constructively, while Martina and Tuly chimed in and shared their experiences where we had questions, and the three of them were stellar actors during the Open Water sessions of the course. We are glad to say that our confidence in dealing with underwater stress has improved significantly, and we are ready should an underwater emergency arise. (Fingers crossed we will never have to use what we have learnt) It was a very pleasant experience and we were tested to our personal limits within the safe boundaries of scuba diving! Also, congratulations to Tuly and Martina! Open Water Course: Simultaneously, our friends underwent the Open Water course led by Jordi, and for their first foray into scuba diving they have been very well instructed. Jordi was patient and level-headed throughout the course while providing good instruction, as we had witnessed our friends improve each dive throughout our time at Koh Phi Phi (see below). Fun Dives: Given the pleasant experience in our courses, we decided to do more fun dives with DPM, and we were brought around Phi Phi by Jordi. Jordi’s love for the marine world helped us all enjoy our dives, even our open water friends, and we were brought on a tour at a nice pace, slowing down whenever necessary. Jordi kept a tight group while allowing us time to observe the wonderful critters that he very helpfully pointed out. Jordi was extremely accommodating and when we expressed interest in particular creatures, he knew exactly where to look and bring us to! Kudos! Administration and Others: Aside from the wonderful staff named above, we would like to thank Chiara, Franc, Julia and Max (in order of our first interactions with each of you). Chiara and Julia were the first people we met at the shop, and theirpassion for marine life and love for scuba diving got us all excited after some very early flights and long transfers. They were always smiling, and prioritised service even when they werein the middle of attending to personal or work matters, and it was nice to be asked “How was the dive guys” every time we came back, as Phi Phi had so much to offer. Thank you Chiara and Julia! Franc made sure our administrative matters were resolved quickly, and addressed any concerns we had. He also catered to our requests promptly and was both friendly and professional. He was open to our suggestions and tried to accommodate our wishes as much as practicable, and he was also super nice giving us free T Shirts! Go Frank! Last but not least, i would like to give Max a shoutout as i had lost my reel on the boat. Max agreed to help me find it, even though we didn’t dive together, and had limited interactions as he was assisting other customers. I was super impressed by how far Max, and the rest of the DPM crew went to ensuring that we had a pleasant experience. Equipment, Safety, and Food: The equipment provided was clean and serviceable. Where there was even the slightest suspicion of a malfunction, the possibly faulty equipment was replaced immediately with no questions asked. A DIN adaptor was also provided upon request to my friend who brought his own regulator. There is also a washing area at the back of the shop which was more than sufficient to clean our gear. Safety was truly prioritised in DPM and they addressed all concerns professionally and with no hard feelings. The range of food options was also really impressive, and there was even ice water on board. We enjoyed the fried rice the most, but the other options were great too! Thank you all, and see you guys soon!
I had an absolutely amazing diving experience with Tuli in Koh Phi Phi. From start to finish, everything was extremely professional and well organized. The communication beforehand was clear, the equipment was in excellent condition, and the entire team made us feel safe and comfortable at all times. We dived at Koh Bida Nok and Viking Cave, and both sites were simply stunning. The underwater world was vibrant and full of life, with beautiful coral formations and plenty of marine species to discover. Tuli’s briefing was detailed and easy to understand, and underwater she guided us calmly and confidently, making the whole experience relaxed and unforgettable.
Had the best time ever! Raul and Jordi were so patients, professionals, understood our pace and in general we felt that were in good hands the entire time. Raul was so cool and chill, took very good photos, and always kept track of us to make sure we're ok. Jordi escorted my wife back to the boat when she couldn't continue her second dive, and he taught me how to make rings underwater which was awsome! We've seen turtle, sharks, flute fish, blowfish, lionfis, moray eel and many more. Thank you so much DPM for the experience, until we meet again (:

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
