Veggie Tales Cafe
Veggie Tales Cafe has earned a devoted following among plant-based eaters and curious omnivores alike, offering an extensive menu of vegan and vegetarian Thai dishes prepared with genuine care. Standout items include pad Thai with crispy vegan pork, pineapple curry, stir-fried morning glory with plant-based pork belly, and garlic basil pasta with mushrooms — dishes that regularly draw praise for their flavour and generous portions. The value is exceptional, with multiple dishes, rice, smoothies, and drinks coming in well under 800 baht for two people. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with fans to keep guests cool and staff who go out of their way to accommodate dietary needs — including confirming vegan preparation and even offering mosquito spray to diners. Whether visiting solo or in a group, the cafe provides a comfortable, unhurried setting suited to a long lunch or leisurely afternoon meal. The central Hua Hin location makes it straightforward to reach by taxi or local transport from most accommodation. Good to know: Veggie Tales Cafe is open Thursday through Sunday from 10:00 AM to 7:50 PM and is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. Arriving during mid-morning or early afternoon is a good strategy for a quieter experience. Given the strong local and traveller following, those with specific dietary requirements can feel confident asking staff directly — reviewers consistently highlight how attentive and knowledgeable the team is about vegan preparation.

I love this restaurant! Tons of vegan options and very considerate staff who make sure you’re getting items prepared vegan. They also gave us mosquito spray to use and there are fans to keep you cool and to keep the bugs aways. You get to dine in the garden which is beautiful. There are also seafood options for that friend of yours that you can’t drag to vegetarian restaurant because they need to eat meat. The menu is sectioned into pescatarian, lacto-ova vegetarian and vegan. I loved the vegan banana pancake and vegan crispy pork options.
Such a great spot with so many vegan options. Everything we tried was delicious and very inexpensive, we had 5 dishes, rice, 2 smoothies and 2 waters and it was only 775 baht we couldn’t believe the price. We couldn’t finish all the food as the portion sizes are very generous. The owner is very sweet and the restaurant helps dog charities in Thailand as well. Highly recommend and we would go back if we were staying longer in Hua Hin.
What a delicious lunch! We had pad Thai with crispy vegan pork, the ‘pork’ was crispy and so good! A great portion as well. We also ordered the pineapple curry and it was 10/10! I have never had pineapple in my curry before and it was perfectly sweet and spicy and tons of curry flavor. Would totally recommend!! We also got the passion fruit soda and it was sweet and refreshing :) we spent 299 baht!

Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
