Jintana Service
Tucked just 100 metres from Ayutthaya train station, this small, no-frills Thai restaurant earns loyal visitors through honest home-style cooking and a genuinely accommodating approach to dietary needs. The menu features Thai classics including panang curry, pad thai, and papaya salad, with dishes priced around 100 baht — making it one of the more affordable eating options in the area. The atmosphere is quiet and cosy rather than buzzing, with a simple interior that feels relaxed and unhurried. What sets this place apart is its willingness to adapt dishes for specific dietary requirements: reviewers with vegan preferences and coeliac disease have both highlighted the owner's attentiveness and care in accommodating their needs, which is notably uncommon for a budget street-level restaurant. The food is straightforward and satisfying rather than elaborate, and the pricing reflects that honestly. Good to know: the restaurant can appear closed or unstaffed on arrival, particularly during off-peak hours — a reviewer noted that calling out toward the kitchen was needed before service began. It is worth being patient or calling ahead before making a special trip. Opening hours are not listed online, so visiting earlier in the day or during standard meal times reduces the chance of finding the place unattended. Those with serious dietary requirements, such as coeliac disease, are advised to bring a written dietary card, as the owner has shown willingness to engage carefully with written information.

Visitor Reviews
100 meter walk straight from Ayutthaya train station, on the left side. At first it was so quiet that no one eating inside, but we feel that this place is cozy. We got in and order some food and beverages. It has a vegetarian option if you got bored with meat and meat during a trip in Thailand. The vegetarian fried rice is OK for THB 45. The coffee is good and mango shake is best to close the meal in here. The owner is humble and able to give you motorbike rent discount. Just ask her politely Addition 29/11 The owner even volunteered to helps up find the raw thai tea as we confused to find it around Ayutthaya
As someone who is celiac and desperate for gluten free options while travelling this was such a little hidden gem. The lady running the restaurant read my “celiac card” and was very committed to making sure it was safe for me! I had the chicken Pad Thai along with 2 other people in my family and my mom and sister enjoyed the Penang curry and fried rice (though I’m not 100% sure about those being gluten free). Would definitely go back if I returned to this area 😊
Wonderful little place that serves authentic and delicious thai food. Loved the panang curry, pad thai, and papaya salad. Prices are very reasonable and they can make everything vegan. Also friendly owners. Highly recommend.
Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
