Singha Park
Singha Park is a large, well-organised leisure destination on the outskirts of Chiang Rai, covering considerable grounds that take several hours to explore properly. The main draw is its expansive flower gardens, open green spaces, and sweeping countryside views — particularly atmospheric in the late afternoon when golden light falls across the gardens and the park's distinctive red barn structures. Despite appearing under a cultural category, this is firmly a nature and recreation experience, popular with families, couples, and solo travellers looking for a relaxed half-day outing. Getting around the site is straightforward: the park operates a tram service that stops at key points across the grounds, included in the entry fee (reported at 150 baht). Bicycles and carts are also available to rent for those who prefer to move at their own pace. Beyond the scenery, there are cafes and food options on site, and the park periodically hosts events featuring food stalls, rides, and live music — making it worth checking what's on before visiting. Late afternoon arrival is widely recommended for the best light and to catch sunset over the gardens. Since opening hours and event schedules are not consistently listed online, it is worth confirming current access details with local accommodation or a quick inquiry before heading out.

Visitor Reviews
I’ve visited Singha Park and can definitely recommend it, especially if you want a mix of nature, light activity, and relaxing views in Chiang Rai. The area is very spacious and well organized, so it never feels too cramped even when there are other visitors. What makes it special is the variety: wide green landscapes, tea plantations, flower gardens (seasonal), small lakes, and multiple viewpoints that are great for photos. It’s also a good place for different travel styles. You can keep it simple with a calm walk and café stop, or spend more time exploring by bike and moving between zones. Families, couples, and solo travelers can all enjoy it because the atmosphere is relaxed and easy-going. There are food and drink options inside the park, so it’s comfortable to stay for several hours without needing to leave. In my experience, Singha Park works very well as a half-day stop, especially if you combine it with nearby attractions. The scenery is beautiful, the grounds are clean, and the overall setup feels tourist-friendly without losing the natural charm. If you’re in Chiang Rai, it’s definitely more than just a quick photo stop—it’s a place where you can actually slow down and enjoy the surroundings.
An absolute must-visit for sunset in Chiang Rai! We arrived around 5:00 PM and the golden hour over the flower gardens and red barn was stunning. The park is huge, so I’d recommend renting a bicycle or taking the farm tour tram if you want to see the tea plantations. It’s very peaceful and great for photography. Plenty of parking and the facilities are well-maintained.
Very nice park! Sorta like a botanical gardens. 150baht and they take you in a tram to all the stops. The place is massive. We spent several hours there.

Tips for Visiting Temples & Culture
Dress Modestly
Cover shoulders and knees at all temples. Carry a light scarf or sarong — some temples lend wraps, but not all. Shoes come off before entering any building with a Buddha image.
Mind Your Feet
Never point your feet at a Buddha image or a monk — it's considered deeply disrespectful. When sitting inside a temple, tuck your feet behind you or to the side.
Ask Before Photographing
Exterior photos are almost always fine, but some interior halls prohibit photography. Look for signs, and never pose irreverently with Buddha images — it's a legal offense in Thailand.
