Art Bridge
Housed along Phahon Yothin Road in central Chiang Rai, this free-entry art gallery brings together the work of both local and nationally recognised Thai artists in a spacious, well-curated setting. The collection spans paintings, sculptures, carvings, and large-scale outdoor installations, offering a breadth of artistic expression that sets it apart from smaller galleries in the region. It serves as a genuine showcase for Thai fine arts rather than a purely tourist-oriented space, giving visitors a meaningful window into the country's contemporary and traditional artistic culture. The atmosphere is calm and unhurried, with enough room to move between exhibitions comfortably. Visitors can expect varied displays that rotate with new exhibitions, alongside permanent works that reflect both traditional craftsmanship and modern artistic approaches. A souvenir shop and an on-site restaurant add convenience for those looking to extend their visit, though the gallery itself remains the clear draw. Good to know: Entry is free, making this an easy addition to any Chiang Rai itinerary. However, when a new exhibition is being prepared, certain floors or sections may be temporarily closed, so checking the gallery's social media page before visiting is worthwhile. Specific opening hours are not widely published, so confirming access times in advance is advisable. The gallery is accessible by car or local transport along Phahon Yothin Road.

Visitor Reviews
One of my favourite parts of my visit to Chiang Rai. The collection is on the small side but it's beautiful and extremely varied including large outdoor structures. There were only a few other people there during my 1.5 hour visit and it's by donation to enter. The giftshop was also excellent with lots of art and stickers of Thai art. The actual bridge itself was not open when I went but it honestly didn't matter, the whole thing was great
If you are in the area and interested in the art works of Thai artists, come to this place. Free entry. Check their page about ongoing exhibitions. When preparing for a new exhibition, a floor might be closed. On the rooftop, they have a small coffee shop with view towards the mountains and overlooking the rice fields. They also provide art workshops.

Tips for Visiting Temples & Culture
Dress Modestly
Cover shoulders and knees at all temples. Carry a light scarf or sarong — some temples lend wraps, but not all. Shoes come off before entering any building with a Buddha image.
Mind Your Feet
Never point your feet at a Buddha image or a monk — it's considered deeply disrespectful. When sitting inside a temple, tuck your feet behind you or to the side.
Ask Before Photographing
Exterior photos are almost always fine, but some interior halls prohibit photography. Look for signs, and never pose irreverently with Buddha images — it's a legal offense in Thailand.
