Khao Takiab beach
Khao Takiab Beach sits at the southern end of Hua Hin, where a forested hill meets a long, open stretch of coastline. The beach offers a more relaxed and uncrowded alternative to the main Hua Hin strip, with soft sand, calm surroundings, and a backdrop that combines sea and mountain views. A small temple community on the hill above the beach adds a layer of local character that sets it apart from more commercial coastal spots in the region. Visitors can expect a laid-back atmosphere with a handful of beachside restaurants, sun loungers, and shade options. Water sports are available on-site, including jet ski rentals and banana boat rides. Horseback riding along the shoreline is a popular activity and is generally considered safe and well-managed. The sand here is brown rather than white, and the shoreline is relatively flat, meaning the water can recede a noticeable distance at low tide — something worth keeping in mind if swimming is the main priority. A practical note for those planning a visit: arriving by motorbike or bicycle is straightforward, with parking available nearby. Checking tide times in advance is advisable, as the shallow gradient means conditions for swimming vary considerably throughout the day. The beach suits travellers looking for a quiet half-day outing rather than a dedicated beach holiday destination, and pairs well with a broader Hua Hin itinerary.

Visitor Reviews
Khao Takiab Beach is beautiful, offering the perfect mix of sea and mountain views. It’s very peaceful and clean, with soft sand and not overcrowded. Arriving by bike was easy, with convenient parking just steps away. It has easily become my favorite beach in Hua Hin.
Khao Takiab is a decent but not great beach . Khoa Takiab beach is a wide long beach of BROWN but not white sand. KT beach lost a star because of my preference for a clean ,white sand beach. Several food and tourist vendors roam the beach , selling various beach type things. Water sports available--jet skis, banana boats , surf boards , etc..are available. Restaurants line the beach. Sunbeds free for hotel guests , are available for rent for non-guest day trippers.. Some seashells but all are small and many are broken. Good sunrise and sunset vibes---Photo ops !!!!! Recommended
This beach is quiet and medium in size. There’s a few restaurants with loungers and chairs. Also, there’s plenty of empty areas to relax and chill on the beach. Jet ski rentals and banana boat rides available. The water was a little cloudy but still clear enough. Recommended

Tips for Visiting Beaches & Islands
Check Monsoon Seasons
The Andaman coast (Phuket, Krabi) has rough seas from May to October. The Gulf coast (Koh Samui, Koh Phangan) is roughest from October to December. Plan your island-hopping around these windows.
Snorkel Gear Is Cheap to Buy
Rental gear is often scratched and ill-fitting. Buy a decent mask and snorkel at a Tesco Lotus or Big C for 300–500 THB — cheaper than two days of rentals and much more hygienic.
Book Ferries on 12Go.Asia
The 12Go platform lets you compare ferry operators, times, and prices between islands. Book a day or two ahead in high season. Avoid the cheapest operators if reviews mention safety concerns.
