Beach in front of Nom Sao Island
Tucked away near Nom Sao Island in the Sam Roi Yot area of Prachuap Khiri Khan, this stretch of coastline is locally known as the "Secret Beach" — a fitting nickname for a place that still feels genuinely undiscovered. Set against a backdrop of dramatic limestone karsts, the beach offers eight kilometres of quiet shoreline where visitors can walk, unwind, and take in scenery that feels worlds away from the busier resort strips further north. Nearby boat rides provide access to sea caves worth exploring, adding an adventurous dimension to the visit. The atmosphere here leans strongly toward nature and tranquility rather than facilities and crowds. The water is warm and shallow, though the beach is better suited to walking and sightseeing than serious swimming. Visitors consistently highlight the sense of freedom and close connection with the natural environment as the defining appeal of the location. A few practical points are worth noting before visiting. Sandflies have been reported along the shoreline, so bringing insect repellent is advisable. The beach is open around the clock, making early morning or late afternoon visits particularly rewarding for light and cooler temperatures. There is no dedicated website for the attraction, so navigation is best handled through mapping applications using the Sam Roi Yot sub-district address. Given its remote character, visitors should plan to be self-sufficient with water and supplies, as on-site amenities are limited.

Visitor Reviews
Sam Roi Yod beach is 8 kilometers of absolute tranquility. Far from Hua Hin and its gogo bars crowded. Here we relax and enjoy everyday life. The view is magnificent. Since the officials has organized and promoted the city, every weekend there is a market on the beach with activities: food and drink stand and music groups. It's really a great spot to recharge your batteries.
I saw this place on Google Maps and decided to give it a try and drive there. There was no one here but the views were really beautiful! Had a nice walk along the beach. The water was very warm and shallow but I didn’t go for a swim as there were some jellyfishes. Still an awesome spot though. Very natural.
Rather know as the "The Secret beach", but tbh, its not the best but still very nice, clean and walkable. Do note of the sandflies, seems more in presence there.

Tips for Visiting Beaches & Islands
Check Monsoon Seasons
The Andaman coast (Phuket, Krabi) has rough seas from May to October. The Gulf coast (Koh Samui, Koh Phangan) is roughest from October to December. Plan your island-hopping around these windows.
Snorkel Gear Is Cheap to Buy
Rental gear is often scratched and ill-fitting. Buy a decent mask and snorkel at a Tesco Lotus or Big C for 300–500 THB — cheaper than two days of rentals and much more hygienic.
Book Ferries on 12Go.Asia
The 12Go platform lets you compare ferry operators, times, and prices between islands. Book a day or two ahead in high season. Avoid the cheapest operators if reviews mention safety concerns.
