Bang Pu Beach
Bang Pu Beach sits along the Prachuap Khiri Khan coastline in the Sam Roi Yot district and is best known as the primary embarkation point for boat trips to the famous Phaya Nakhon Cave. Rather than a typical resort beach, it functions as a practical and scenic staging ground for one of the region's most celebrated natural attractions, drawing visitors who combine a coastal stop with cave exploration and island hopping. The beach itself is a long stretch of mixed sand and mud, with a relaxed, local atmosphere and several restaurants within easy reach. Boat rides depart from here at reasonable prices, carrying groups of five or six passengers to the cave entrance, surrounding small islands, fishermen's villages, and mangrove swamps along the coast. Taking the boat is widely recommended over the overland hike, particularly in warm weather, as it saves considerable time and effort. Those who make the cave trip will find seating and shaded areas at the destination to rest and take in the surroundings. Good to know: The beach is openly accessible at all hours, but boat availability is not guaranteed, so checking ahead before visiting is strongly advised to avoid wasted travel. Conditions are most comfortable between November and February, outside the peak heat and humidity of the warmer months. Given the exposed setting and limited shade on the beach itself, bringing sun protection, water, and snacks is practical. Bang Pu works well as part of a broader day trip through Sam Roi Yot National Park and the surrounding coastal area.

Visitor Reviews
You can get the boat ride at reasonable price. Each boat can take about 5-6 people. You can go around small islands and fishermen villages near the coast and mangrove swamp. Highly recommended for elderly and parents with kids that do not want to climb up to the cave.
Nice beach for the entrance to Phaya Nakhon Cave. Take the boat if they are running. And try to check ahead if they are not. Saves you a lot of time and sweat to avoid the first hike...unless you are into that.
Long beach, with mixture of mud and sand. It's the beach that those who bought the boat tickets to the cave entry has to get on the boat here. We were there before nood and it is very hot and humid. There's several restaurant along the beach. During late afternoon, when the sun is down, lots of local and young kids in the area come out to play along the beach

Snorkel Gear Is Cheap to Buy
Rental gear is often scratched and ill-fitting. Buy a decent mask and snorkel at a Tesco Lotus or Big C for 300–500 THB — cheaper than two days of rentals and much more hygienic.
Book Ferries on 12Go.Asia
The 12Go platform lets you compare ferry operators, times, and prices between islands. Book a day or two ahead in high season. Avoid the cheapest operators if reviews mention safety concerns.
