Discovery Divers Pier location
Discovery Divers operates from its pier location in Bophut, on the north coast of Koh Samui, offering guided dive tours and introductory scuba experiences for visitors of all skill levels. The operation is well-regarded for its multilingual, professionally trained staff who take particular care with first-time divers, helping beginners feel at ease both before and during their dives. Day trip packages typically include two dives, and those with no prior experience can join a Discover Scuba Diving course led by qualified instructors. The atmosphere is described by visitors as friendly and attentive, with staff going out of their way to personalise the experience for each group. Opening hours run from 07:30 to 09:00 daily, reflecting a morning departure schedule typical of dive operators — arrivals should plan accordingly and aim to check in promptly at the start of that window. Booking in advance is advisable, especially during peak travel months, to secure a place on a day trip. The website at discoverydivers.com provides further details on courses, tours, and pricing.

Visitor Reviews
Amazing Dive Experience to Sail Rock with Discovery Divers! My daughter and I had an absolutely fantastic time diving with Discovery Divers to Sail Rock. From start to finish, the entire experience was super well-organized. The pick-up was prompt, checking in was seamless, and the briefings were clear and comprehensive. Our dive master was amazing, truly focused on ensuring we had a great experience both in and out of the water. And wow, what can I say about Sail Rock? It's an incredible dive site, absolutely packed with marine life – a truly unforgettable dive! The travel to and from the site was comfortable, and the lunch provided was delicious. We were also impressed by the international team on board; it was great to have options for communication in English, Chinese, French, and Thai. I would definitely dive with Discovery Divers again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a top-notch diving adventure in Koh Samui!
This was my first scuba diving EVER! And Discovery Divers made sure it was a memorable one!!! Review is for July 2019. Great experience. The staff is very well trained and polite. Me and my wife had a dedicated professional diver with us at all times. 2 dives which lasted for around 50 minutes each. The first was in comparatively shallow waters, while the other one was in deep waters. Saw lots of fish and corals during the dives. No turtles unfortunately. :( They serve lunch as well on the boat itself, between the two dives. Ample time to relax and complete all planned activities. They do take photos of your dives and ask to sign up to receive the photos on your email, AT NO EXTRA COST! Tip: Try and ask for 'Kid' to be your guide during the diving sessions! He was our guide and this guy is just too good, plus he was the most experienced one as well!
Very friendly, experienced, multilingual and professional staff who will look after you very well. Large choice of rental equipment in good condition. Getting to the dive sites is a fair hike on the boat as they are not in Koh Samui but closer to and around Koh Tao. "Sail Rock", the most famous dive site in the area, takes about 50 mins on their speed boat, while Chumpon Pinnacle takes 90 min. So be prepared for a bit of a journey back and forth which is also reflected in the price for diving off Koh Samui. But if you go diving while on Koh Samui, this is the dive shop to do it with! I spent 4 fabulous days with them, and managed to see a whale shark on day 3, yeehaa! This is the 4th time i have been diving with Discovery Divers over the years and on 3 out of the 4 managed to see a whale shark,....soooo happy! ;-)

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
