ThailandBiking - Ayutthaya Branch
This cycling tour operator offers guided rides through Ayutthaya, Thailand's former capital and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Rather than navigating the ancient city on foot or by tuk-tuk, visitors explore temple ruins, old city walls, traditional riverside communities, and quieter local neighbourhoods by bicycle — covering more ground while staying closely connected to the surroundings. Guides are consistently praised by visitors for their deep knowledge of Ayutthaya's history and Buddhist culture, making each tour as educational as it is active. Tours run for approximately three hours and cater to a range of travellers, from solo visitors to family groups. The flat terrain around Ayutthaya keeps cycling accessible for most fitness levels, and guides set a pace that allows time for exploration and photography. The experience is well-suited to day-trippers arriving from Bangkok, and the team is noted for being accommodating when travellers are running behind schedule. Good to know: ThailandBiking Ayutthaya operates seven days a week from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Early morning departures are strongly recommended to avoid the peak midday heat, which can be intense year-round in central Thailand. Wear lightweight, comfortable clothing suitable for cycling, and bring water and sunscreen. Specific tour options, durations, and current pricing are available at thailandbiking.com/ayutthaya, and booking in advance is advisable, particularly during peak travel seasons.

Visitor Reviews
A Truly Memorable Experience in Ayutthaya! I had the opportunity to bring my husband’s family to Thailand for the first time, and Ayutthaya was one of our must-visit destinations. We booked the “Colors of Ayutthaya: UNESCO Heritage 6-Hour Bicycle Tour” with Thailand Biking, and it turned out to be one of the most unforgettable experiences of our trip. Our tour guide, Khun Lek, was absolutely outstanding. Her knowledge of Thai history, culture, and local life was impressive, and she shared everything in such a passionate and engaging way. Even as a Thai myself, I learned so much from her! It’s clear that she truly loves what she does and puts her heart into her work. The tour itself was well-organized, with a perfect balance of sightseeing, cultural insights, and local experiences. My family and I were deeply impressed with how personal and enriching this tour felt. It gave us a unique and intimate look at Ayutthaya beyond the usual tourist spots. Highly recommended! Whether you’re visiting from abroad or even if you’re Thai like me, this tour will give you a fresh and meaningful perspective of Ayutthaya. Huge thanks to Khun Lek and the Thailand Biking team for creating such a special day for our family 💛🚴♀️ Greetings from Belgium 😃
Booked this 3 hours experience before to come to visit Ayutthaya and has been one of the best decisions of my holiday. We were coming from Bangkok and, even if we were late, they've waited for us and never let us feel uncomfortable about it. The staff at the branch has been very kind, helpful and welcoming. After 10 minutes of initial explanation we've jumped on the bike and started our tour. The guide has been amazing: very helpful, kind, passionate about the history and the religion, clear on her explanation and not in rush at all. Make us feel like she was out with some friends sharing her passion and this was worth of all! We were with a 6 year old and it was absolutely fine. We've been looking at the best highlights of the old capital blessed from our guide. Amazing experience that i would suggest to anyone!
We had a great guide, Lik, with impressive knowledge about the history of Ayuthaya. We learned a lot, and can highly recommend this tour! These are the kind of experiences that make our vacation special. We got to understand more of Thai culture, history, all while cycling through the city. Lit took our pictures and shared with us at the end, very valuable to us since pictures are the best souveniers! Thank you Lik

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
