Banharn-Jamsai Tower
Built in 1992 to honour former Prime Minister Banharn Silpa-archa and his wife, this observation tower serves as both a civic landmark and a practical vantage point over the city of Suphan Buri. From its upper decks, visitors can take in sweeping views of the surrounding cityscape and countryside, while exhibits inside the tower offer context on its historical background. A lift is available for those who prefer not to climb the stairs. The grounds surrounding the tower give the complex considerably more depth than a simple viewpoint. A well-maintained park features manicured gardens, decorative hedge sculptures, and fountains, while a water park and recreational areas make it a natural fit for families. The atmosphere is generally quiet and unhurried, particularly on weekdays, lending the whole site a pleasant, leisurely character that rewards a slow visit rather than a quick stop. At around 40 baht entrance fee, the attraction offers strong value. Opening hours run from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM daily except Monday. Note that some floors within the tower may be closed on certain days. Street parking is available nearby. Late afternoon is widely considered the ideal time to visit, as the light conditions before sunset enhance both the views from the upper decks and photography across the surrounding landscape.

Visitor Reviews
This gem is a must visit. It's cost effecient and has a beautiful scenic and quiet park. It's best to go just before sunset, the most breathtaking thing to see. The tower staff are all friendly and one staff member goes up with visitors, while operating the elevator. The historic paintings gives visitors insight about King N and what he did for Ayutthaya. The view is spectacular, but I prefer the evening view. It's the best.
Great views of the city. Good park and recreational area. Nice fountains and hedge sculptures and a water park. What's not to love? Only 40 baht entrance fee and there is a lift in the tower so you don't need to walk to the top. 4th floor is highest views. 3rd floor is rubbish shop. 2nd floor is good and beverages.
On street parking. Professionally built. Upkeep/maintenance may need a little improvement in certain areas. Beautiful well manicured garden. I will add more pictures when I get my film develop. Yes I use film cameras too.

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
