Saint Theresa Catholic Church
Saint Theresa Catholic Church stands out as a genuinely striking landmark in Hua Hin, distinguished by its unique dome architecture and beautifully decorated interior. For travellers curious about Thailand's multi-faith communities, the church offers a rare and atmospheric counterpoint to the region's Buddhist temples — a quiet, shaded space with pleasant grounds and a water fountain at the entrance. Visitors who attend a service can expect a warm and participatory atmosphere. The church is home to an acclaimed choir, and the congregation is welcoming to newcomers and tourists alike. Priests are noted for speaking excellent English, and the interior is spacious and well-maintained. Saturday Mass is also available for those whose travel schedules don't align with Sundays. Good to know: English-language Mass is held on Sundays at 10:30am, with Thai-language services earlier at 7:00am and 9:00am. Entry to the church on Sundays is via Soi 88, and ample parking is available on site. As with any active place of worship, modest dress is expected — covered shoulders and knees are appropriate. Visitors attending outside of scheduled Mass times should check locally in advance, as opening hours are not consistently published. The church's central Hua Hin location makes it easy to combine with wider exploration of the town.

Tips for Visiting Temples & Culture
Dress Modestly
Cover shoulders and knees at all temples. Carry a light scarf or sarong — some temples lend wraps, but not all. Shoes come off before entering any building with a Buddha image.
Mind Your Feet
Never point your feet at a Buddha image or a monk — it's considered deeply disrespectful. When sitting inside a temple, tuck your feet behind you or to the side.
Ask Before Photographing
Exterior photos are almost always fine, but some interior halls prohibit photography. Look for signs, and never pose irreverently with Buddha images — it's a legal offense in Thailand.
